Sous Chef

Hamlet are currently recruiting a Sous Chef for its venue in Wokingham Town Centre. This is great opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef looking to step up or someone already in the role to be part of a passionate team, alongside the Chef Patrons. The Sous Chef will ensure high standards of efficiency in the running the kitchen, delivering amazing quality dishes to a high standard and inputting ideas for the and seasonal and constantly evolving menus.

Hamlet:
A brand new venue in the heart of Wokingham town. This premium venue consisting of a beautiful modern British casual dining space, kitchen table tasting menu, delicatessen, coffee and wine bar. All serving a range of menus based around the best quality locally sourced seasonal produce on offer and delivered with techniques learnt from the Chef Patrons Michelin Star backgrounds.

The ideal Sous Chef will have the following:

  • Solid experience in a fresh food kitchen

  • The confidence to prepare fresh food dishes from scratch

  • Have thorough knowledge of food handling safety

  • Have great communication skills

  • Be an all rounder in the kitchen and willing to work on various sections

  • Be well organised and well presented

  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, high pressured kitchen

  • Be a role model for junior chefs

  • Have experience with ordering stock
